About
The little theatre with a big heart! In 1984, a group of six theatre devotees started an amateur theatre in the town of Kentville. Their first performances were presented in the ballroom of the old Cornwallis Hotel and their hope was to provide the Valley area with good live theatre and an outlet for the creative talents of its citizens.
In 2002, the theatre moved to its current location at 61 River Street and now has over forty members plus at least eighty others who are interested in being involved in theatre.
Each year CentreStage boasts eight different productions with a mix of comedy, drama, suspense, mystery and musicals. This springs production of "Crossing Delancy" is the groups 157th production since inception. All productions are completely volunteer run.
The theatre also presents occasional workshops for adults, focusing on artistic and technical subjects, and the occasional workshop for children designed to help them discover their own strengths and self-affirmation through success in performance.
This summers productions are aimed at the whole family, all starting at 7 pm. Reservations are available by calling 678-8040.
